Discount MediQuip was originally started as D's MediQuip. The original founder started the business in 2008 with a mission to help people obtain appropriate equipment at affordable prices.
James Miller, co-founder, has been involved in the Homecare & Mobility Industry since 1986.
He became a paraplegic in 1984 and continues in a day to day roll of the company.
In July 2019 the original founder sold to Erik & Wendy Nielsen and now the company is run by James, Erik, & Wendy. Before coming to work for the company in mid 2018 they did not have a lot of experience in the industry but have grown to love the business and go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. Wendy & Erik have a daughter with Cerebral Palsy, so they have great compassion for people with disabilities.
Many people have medical equipment that their loved ones no longer need. It is at these times when the last thing they need, is to deal with ads and calls to sell their equipment. We are here to do just that.
People are also in need of good quality used equipment at an affordable price, that is right for them. But they can not find it.
Some people do not even know exactly what they need. We are here to help people choose the right size and functionality in the equipment for them, not only for today but in the future as well.
