About Discount MediQuip

 

Discount MediQuip was originally started as D's MediQuip. The original founder started the business in 2008 with a mission to help people obtain appropriate equipment at affordable prices.

 

James (Jim) Miller, co-founder, has been involved in the Homecare & Mobility Industry since 1986.  He became a paraplegic in 1984 and continues in a day to day roll of the company.

 

In July 2019 the original founder sold to Erik & Wendy Nielsen and now the company is run by Erik, Wendy, & James.  Before coming to work for the company in mid 2018 Wendy & Erik already had great compassion and experience for people with disabilities as one of their daughters has Cerebral Palsy.  They were excited to work with James and gain more knowledge from him having over 35 years experience in the industry.  When entering the store you will be greeted by another one of their daughters, Priya, who takes so much pride in ensuring her customers have all the equipment they need. 

 

Our staff have many years helping the public with disabilities and are trained to help people make the right choices and deliver great customer service.
